The Tennessee HOSA - Future Health Professionals State Executive Council is a foundational piece of our state organization. The role of a State Officer is one of service and growth. Throughout the academic year, State Officers engage members, industry, and educational institutions with the greater purpose and goals of Tennessee HOSA. Alongside promoting our organization, State Officers develop their own leadership and professional skills through insightful training opportunities, networking engagements, legislative visits, and countless other enriching experiences.
A State Officer's duties begin when they begin the candidacy process. All Tennessee HOSA members who are going into their Junior and Senior years are encouraged to apply for State Officer Candidacy; our State Officer Team needs all types of backgrounds, experiences, and aspirations.
First of all, do not wait until the last minute! Utilize the resources on the hosa.org website. You would be surprised how many resources are out there if you make the effort to look for them! Competition guidelines can also be useful for the exam (Parliamentary Procedure, HOSA Bowl, etc.).
What qualities do the voting delegates want to see in a candidate?
The Tennessee HOSA members want to see YOU! It's easy to see when somebody is trying to be someone that they are not. Be genuine and be true to yourself!
